Dr. Maccabee specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery, and is Fellowship trained in Laparoscopic Surgery. As the only subspecialty trained surgeon in The Gorge, he maintains a collaborative relationship with surgical subspecialists and gastroenterologists in Portland, and is a clinical faculty member at Oregon Health and Sciences University.
Dr. Maccabee specializes in treatment of GERD, swallowing disorders, esophagus and stomach problems, gallstones and gallbladder disease, colon & intestinal surgery, GI endoscopy/Colonoscopy, athlete and minimally invasive hernia repair, and comprehensive treatment of varicose veins. He offers sentinel node biopsy and breast conservation therapy for breast cancer, and works closely with the Oncology Physicians at Celilo Cancer Center and plastic/reconstructive surgeons in portland for treatment of this disease.
Bariatric (weight loss) surgery; Laparoscopic Gastric Band, Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, and sleeve gastrectomy is offered in collaboration with the OHSU Digestive Health Center.
